Brad Daugherty, $1 million at the WSOP

Brad Daugherty

When Brad Daugherty was old enough, when he finished high school, he started to work in the construction industry but when he found out about the big amounts of money he could get in poker tournaments, he moved to Reno, Nevada, where poker would be a constant part of his life.

On 1987 Daugherty won his first poker competition and was awarded with the first $1.000.000 prize at the World Series of Poker winning a bracelet in the WSOP 1991 edition. On 1993 we had a great participation at the WSOP again by getting the 9th place.

Daugherty is the coauthor, with Tom McEvoy, of Championship Satellite Strategy and No Limit Texas Hold’em for New Players. Currently, Daugherty does not travel a much to play poker, but he still plays in big tournaments as in online poker tournaments.

Currently Daugherty lives in Philippines and by 2009 his winnings in live poker tournaments were over $1.700.000. He cashed in 19 WSOP editions and his winnings at that poker competition meant $1.158.574 of all the winnings poker gave him.
